The body feels solid in my hands, and the controls are laid out in a way that became easy to navigate once I spent some time with it. I especially like having a physical control dial, since changing settings feels quick and natural without digging through menus.
Daylight results have been crisp and full of detail, while the lens gives me enough flexibility for everyday scenes, meals, street photos, and casual portraits. The wide end is handy indoors when space is limited, and the longer end works nicely for isolating a subject. Colors have also looked pleasing straight from the camera, which saves me from spending much time editing.
Low-light use has been one of the more pleasant surprises for me. Indoor photos remain quite usable when the light starts dropping, and the lens aperture gives me some freedom to keep shutter speeds reasonable. I still pay attention to my settings in darker situations, but the camera has handled evening outings far better than I expected from something so easy to carry.
Video is another reason I keep reaching for it. The flip-up screen makes it convenient for recording myself, and the small body is comfortable enough for longer handheld clips. I have used it for casual travel footage and short personal videos, and having a capable camera that does not require much setup makes spontaneous recording much easier.
Battery life has been suitable for my normal day-to-day use, though I keep an eye on the battery level during longer outings. The touchscreen is responsive, menus are fairly approachable, and the camera starts up quickly enough that I do not feel like I am missing many moments while getting ready.
Weeks into owning it, I still appreciate how easily it fits into my routine. It gives me much more control than relying on my phone while remaining small enough to bring along without planning around it. For travel, family gatherings, and casual photography, it has become one of those pieces of gear I reach for simply because it is convenient and enjoyable to use.
