The body feels solid in my hands, the grip is comfortable for its size, and the controls are laid out in a way that becomes familiar fairly quickly. I appreciate being able to slip it into my everyday bag without having to plan an entire outing around carrying camera equipment.
What stands out during actual use is how reliably it focuses on people and keeps up when subjects move around. I've enjoyed photographing family gatherings, street scenes, and candid moments where there isn't much time to adjust settings. The detail and color are pleasing, and the full-frame sensor gives me plenty of flexibility when editing files later. In dim restaurants or indoors during the evening, I can also get usable results without feeling forced to rely on flash.
The electronic viewfinder is helpful in bright sunlight, while the vari-angle screen makes low and high shooting positions much easier to manage. I also appreciate having customizable controls, since I can arrange frequently used settings around my own habits. For video, the available recording options and in-body stabilization make handheld clips practical for casual projects and travel footage, although I still pay attention to my movements when recording while walking.
Battery life has been sufficient for my usual outings, though I keep an eye on the remaining charge during longer sessions with plenty of screen use. The menu system takes a little time to learn, but once I became familiar with my preferred settings, operating the camera felt much more straightforward. Buying the body separately also made sense for me because I could choose the lens that best suited my photography. It's a capable, versatile camera that balances portability with the performance I expect from a full-frame setup.
